Simultaneous Interpretation Services
In simultaneous interpreting, the interpreter interprets into the target language at the same time as the speaker is speaking. Simultaneous interpreting has a slight delay (a few words behind) and all interpreters are able to interpret between the source language (usually English) and the target language.
Simultaneous interpreting demands extreme concentration, hence, 2 interpreters work in a team to maintain consistent quality throughout the day.
To make simultaneous interpreting work, simultaneous interpreting equipment is needed. Interpreters sit inside a soundproof booth while conference participants listen to the interpretation with their headsets. Click here to find out more about simultaneous equipment!
Simultaneous interpreting is ideal for conference, seminars, kick-offs or any other events that has foreign participants attending.
Q: How is your selection process for simultaneous interpreters and what language pairs do you work with?
A: We work only with experienced simultaneous interpreters in all of the Asia-Pacific countries. Interpreters undergo a strict process at TransWrite Asia which includes a background reference check and a test (usually in English) to ensure that their 2nd language (English) is proficient.
We work with most Asian languages and occasionally European languages depending on their demand. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to know more.
